Red Rose Stamp Postcard
Fall of 2024 I painted watercolor flowers as stamps and mailed them to my friends in college, each stamp painting was of their current favorite flower. I have turned them into postcards so anyone can send some flowers to their friends or family. For this painting I painted Red Roses.
Roses are perennial shrubs that belong to the family of plants called Rosaceae. They are native primarily to the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. There are over 100 different species of roses. The roses I have painted are watercolor, Watercolor is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a water-based solution.
These postcards are made from thick high-quality matte paper, so they serve as a great addition to a gift or just a thoughtful written note to a friend.
